Der Anzug
A small Russian village close to the Black Sea. It's here where Peaky, Geka, and Dumbo live, three friends at the age of around 18. They bide their time swindling, scrapping, and hanging around. When on a trip to the nearest big coast town they spot a fine Guccisuit in the window of a high class boutique, they only have one goal left: To own this suit. At first, the trio tries to get the money through small jobs. But of course the suit costs more than can be earned through honest work. With a few swindles they finally manage to scrap together enough money to be able to afford the desired garment. Therefore their shock when they have to learn in the boutique that another customer has just bought the suit is even bigger. After a small scrap the suit belongs to them in the end – but the splendid symbol for their dreams and hopes turns into a trigger for a series of tragic events. The poor flat of Peaky's mother burns down, and when he goes to see his father, who has left the family many years ago, the hoped for discussion ends in a deep disappointment. In the meantime, naive Dumbo falls in love with a bright young woman who uses him to make her nouveau riche lover jealous – a play with fire which has fatal consequences.
