Born in Saarbrücken, Germany in 1970, she studied business in Saarbrücken and Dublin from 1990 to 1995 and then taught English in Taiwan. Between 1996 and 1999 she worked as a production manager and DJ before studying film directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Since graduating in 2005 she has been a story consultant and editor for projects including "Die Geschichte vom Astronauten" directed by Godehard Giese.
