Der Todesrächer von Soho
The Avenger
Remake of a movie from the wave of Edgar Wallace film adaptations: Several murders occur in London in which the perpetrator first packs his victims' suitcases and then kills them with a knife. Inspector Redford of Scotland Yard is asked to shed some light on the murders, and is assisted by a friend who is a crime writer. The trail leads them to the doctor Dr. Bladmore and to a mysterious castle. There, the killer strikes again until he is finally confronted by Redford and his true identity is revealed. - Based on a book by Bryan Wallace, son of Edgar Wallace.
Other film adaptation:
"Das Geheimnis der schwarzen Koffer", 1961/1962, Werner Klingler.
