Das geheimnisvolle Wrack

DDR 1953/1954 Spielfilm

Wolfgang from Berlin is on a visit at the Baltic Sea region. Along with the local kids he is playing in a blown-up bunker on the beach. When the children discover an old wreck in front of the coast, they get curious and want to explore it. Especially Wolfgang finds it a lot more exciting than the bunker. One night, they take a boat to examine the mysterious wreck. The enterprise turns out to be quite dangerous, however. On their arrival, the boys are being detained by gangsters who use the wreck as a staging post to smuggle explosives into the GDR. When the police, who have already gotten wind of the smuggling, start an operation the boys’ life is in great danger. Luckily, the police arrive just on time. Due to the smart and adept boys they can be saved and the gangsters can be arrested.
