Christoph Röhl
Christoph Röhl, born 1967 in Brighton, Great Britain, at first studied history and German studies in Manchester and after his graduation successfully applied to Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin to study directing. His first short film "In Your Shoes" (1999) already won awards at the Chicago Film Festival and the film festival "Max Ophuels Preis", among other festivals. Furthermore, the film won a German short film award. After several other short films, some of which won further international awards, Röhl made his feature-length debut in 2008 with the romantic coming-of-age story "Ein Teil von mir" ("A Piece of Me"). The film won the award of the DEFA Foundation at the 2009 film festival "Max Ophuels Preis". Furthermore, leading actor Ludwig Trepte won the "Newcomer actor award" at the 19th filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Schwerin.
