Born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1966, he studied law in Tübingen. He worked with Loriot from 1993 until the latter’s death and subsequently for his estate. Between 1999 and 2019, he also managed the estate of Klaus Kinski and has published several works on both artists. He has directed numerous audio books and has edited various spoken-word oeuvres by renowned artists including "Kinski spricht Werke der Weltliteratur" ("Kinski Speaks Works of World Literature"). In 2008, his film Jesus Christus Erlöser premiered at the Berlinale. In 2013, he curated the Loriot exhibition "Spätlese".
