Bob Marley Live In Concert
Bob Marley - Live In Concert
The two last concerts filmed on location in Jamaica in 1979 during the famous Reggae Sunsplash Festival and on his last tour (Uprising) in Europe which was filmed in 1980 in Dortmund, Westfalenhalle for Rock Palast. Stefan Paul combined the two concerts to show the strength of the voice and performance of the one and only international reggae star from Kingston/Jamaica. Bob Marley died one year later of skin cancer on his way home from a sanatorium in Germany (Rottach-Egern) to his mother in Miami. In May 1981 he was buried in his home village Nine Miles close to Kingston. The funeral took place in front of 500,000 people in Kingston. The one-hour documentary contains not only all of Bob MarleyÌs favourite songs from No woman, no cry to Get up, stand up and Exodus but some unknown footage of music and his home in Hope Road, Kingston.
