Biography
Haro Senft was born in 1928 in Budweis. After his schooling in Prague, he attended the Academy for Theater, Film and Radio in Wiesbaden and worked as an assistant for Meteor Film. Since 1954, he has produced and directed numerous shorts, documentaries and features, including: "Kahl" (short documentary, 1961), which was nominated for an OSCAR, "Auto Auto" (1964), which received a German Film Award, "Der sanfte Lauf" (1967), "Purgatory" ("Fegefeuer", 1971), "In Tag mit dem Wind" (1979), and "Jacob hinter der blauen Tuer" (1987).
