Joerg Daniel Hissen was born in Heidelberg in 1964 and studied Visual Communication at the College of Fine Arts in Hamburg. Since 1988 he has directed several documentaries for television, including "Ganga Mai, India" (1988) and the 1991 and 1996 Christo and Jeanne-Claude films with brother Wolfram.
