Biography
Marcus Lauterbach was born in Weimar and studied to be an actor at the Hans Otto Drama Academy in Leipzig. He followed this with studies in Directing at the Academy for Television & Film (HFF/M) in Munich. His films include: the award-winning shorts "Replay" (1992) and "Kurze Unterbrechung" (1993), the TV play "Toms Zimmer" (1994), "Human Factor" (short, 1996) and "Mangold" (short, 1998). "Despair" ("Verzweiflung", 2000) was his feature film debut.
