Zwischenlandung in Paris

Paris - Orly. Michèle, a young airport employee, is in love. Her heart beats for the American pilot Eddie, who regularly stops over in Paris on his standard route from New York to Rome. Eddie is also deeply in love with Michèle and gives her an engagement ring. But the two have a serious conflict to resolve: While Eddie is willing to quit his job and settle down, Michèle would rather satisfy her wanderlust and travel the world at Eddie's side. Michèle's hard-of-hearing Uncle Petit (Heinz Rühmann), who also works at the airport as an air freight clerk, is also against a union. At the end of the movie, however, Eddie convinces both with a courageous act, and nothing stands in the way of love.
