Jennifer Ulrich was born in Berlin on October 14 1984. At he age of 17, she made her screen debut in Maria von Heland's "Große Mädchen weinen nicht". This was followed by numerous TV and screen roles, for instance in Oskar Roehler's "Elementarteilchen" ("Elementary Particles"), Gregor Schnitzler's "Die Wolke" ("The Cloud") and Rolf S. Wolkenstein's "Lauf der Dinge" ("Paradizers").

In 2008, she appeared in Dennis Gansel's political thriller "Die Welle" ("The Wave") and was subsequently long-listed for the German Film Award. She starred opposite Ludwig Trepte in both Niels Laupert's "Sieben Tage Sonntag" and Christoph Röhl's "Ein Teil von mir" ("A Piece of Me", 2009). She then worked predominately in television, and among her TV works of that time are the "Tatort" episode "Familienaufstellung" (2009), the fairy tale adaptation "Der gestiefelte Kater" (2009) and the semi-documentary drama "Die Kinder von Blankenese" (2010).

In 2010, Jennifer Ulrich, Nina Hoss and Anna Fischer played an alluring vampire trio in Dennis Gansel's fantasy thriller "Wir sind die Nacht". Ulrich returned to the genre in "Zimmer 205" (2013), playing an university freshmen who is confronted with strange occurrences in her dormitory.
