Blue Skin

Documentary movie about three men between 85 and 91 years of age who, apart from all social and personal differences, have one big thing in common: their shared passion for tattoo art. One of them comes from a well-heeled family, the second one worked as a craftsman und the third one worked as a traditional seaman. All three of the men, who are tattooed all over their bodies, started to pursue their passion for tattoos in the 1960s and 1970s – a time when tattooing was still highly stigmatised.
