Biography
Christiane Büchner was born in 1965 in Freiburg. During her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin she received a scholarship for the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. After co-founding Buechner Filmproduktion, she was an artist in residence at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow, followed by post-graduate studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. A selection of her films includes: "You'll Never Walk Alone" (1996, in co-direction with Tobias Büchner), "Das Haus der Regierung" ("Neighbours of the Kremlin", 2004), "Tanja Rocks!"! (short, 2008), "Perestroika – Umbau einer Wohnung" ("Perestroika – Reconstruction of a Flat", 2008), and "Family Business" (2014).
