Biography
Marie Zielcke was born February 3, 1979, in Cologne, as the daughter of a theatre director and an actress. Zielcke made her TV debut at the age of 15 in the TV series "Hallo Onkel Doc". Although she did not attend drama school, she won the Ophuels prize as "Best New Actress" for her performance in her first feature film, "Silvester Countdown" ("In with the New", 1997). She then appeared in films such as "Bin ich schön?" ("Am I Beautiful?", 1998), "Der Schrei des Schmetterlings" ("The Cry of the Butterfly", 1999), "Planet Alex" (2001), "Lammbock" (2001), "Nitschewo" (2002), and "Süperseks" (2004). Zielcke is married to the US actor Henry Thomas who starred as Elliott in "E.T.".
