Carolin Otto
Carolin Otto was born in 1962 in Hamburg and studied Philosophy at the University of Munich for two years before taking up a place at the Academy for Television & Film (HFF) from 1985. She graduated in 1993 with the medium-length film Kuesse and received prizes from festivals in Gera, San Francisco and Magdeburg for her 1990 short "Veilchenbonbons". She was a participant in Munich"s Scriptwriting Workshop for the development of "Pi - Die Polizistin". Her films include "El Bozo" (short, 1986), "Solo - Susanne Linke, Portraet einer Taenzerin" (documentary short, 1988), "Veilchenbonbons" (short, 1990), "In der Hoelle ein schoener Tag" (documentary short, 1992), "Tanzen moecht" ich!"(medium-length feature, 1992), "Kuesse" (1993), "Pi - Die Polizistin" (1997).
