P.S.
At the age of 18 Peter leaves the group home in which he grew up. In his building brigade he makes friends with Marlies, who also used to live in a group home. Then there is also Sabine who loves Peter. The well-protected child of a teacher couple, she did not pass the Abitur as an act of rebellion. Hurt by Peter's wavering attitude towards her, Sabine hides her pregnancy from him, and later, at the urging of her parents, marries Christoph, a student "with a future". Peter leaves his brigade and becomes a driver. An unauthorized trip with a company car ends for Peter in juvenile detention. With his probation officer Margot he finds warmth and support - and love. When she learns of his fatherhood, she ends the relationship. Peter finally lives up to his responsibility for Sabine and his child.
