Das Gespenst
The Ghost
Herbert Achernbusch′s heavily disputed tragic comedy tells the story of a life-size statue of Christ that descends from the cross and is walking through Munich. While doing so, Jesus comes into conflict with pedestrians, a bishop and the police. When it was first shown, Achternbusch′s provocative film which asks the question how Jesus would be treated in today′s Munich came under attack from both churches as well as the Ministry of the interior and the public prosecutor′s office.
