Hygge

Levi and her partner Minu are taking part in the near-future reality TV show Hygge which promotes the sweet life of cozy Swedish-style homes and small families on an idyllic North Sea island. While Minu quickly feels totally at home, Levi struggles to adapt to the strict daily routines of the show. Ultimately, she feels compelled to escape and seek her happiness beyond the fence that is enclosing Hygge. An intersectional social horror combining satire and drama in one, Hygge is the feature co-directorial debut by HFF Munich graduate Zarah Schrade and Hamburg Media School graduate Lena Fakler.
