Biography
Mari Cantu was born in Budapest/Hungary in 1958 where she studied Child Psychology. In 1980, she moved to Berlin and studied at the German Academy of Film & Television (dffb) from 1983-1989. Also active as a writer and film editor, her films as a director include: "A Kiss for a Life" ("Ein Kuss fuers Leben", TV, 1985), "Family Connection" ("Familienbande", short, 1986), "Power Without Face" ("Macht ohne Gesicht", short, 1992), "The Light Blue Angel" ("Der hellblaue Engel", TV, 1996), and "Rosehill" ("Rosenhuegel", 2003).
