Die Beunruhigung

DDR 1981/1982 Spielfilm

Psychologist Inge Herold, a 35-year-old unmarried woman living with her 15-year-old son, receives distressing news during a check-up - she is suspected of having breast cancer. The diagnosis quickly changes her life. She reflects on her past, particularly her relationship with a married man. Realizing that he cannot understand her new situation, she decides to end the relationship. Finding solace and empathy in her son, Inge discovers the strength to overcome the persistent anxiety caused by the disease.
