Tel Aviv - Beirut

In the Middle East in 1982, a young Israeli soldier named Yossi is confronted with the brutality of the Lebanon conflict. In Fouad, a fighter in the Israeli-backed southern Lebanese militia, he finds a loyal comrade and a friend for life. Years later, in the early 2000s, when Hezbollah seizes power in Lebanon, Yossi steps in to help his friend and Fouad's nearly grown daughter, Tanya, escape the turmoil. In 2006, another war erupts between Israel and Lebanon, and Yossi's son is now serving as a soldier. When there is no sign of his son, Yossi's mother, Myriam, and Tanya embark on an emotional journey to Lebanon in search of him.
