Sprich mit mir
Talk to Me
When her boyfriend suddenly breaks up with her, Karo is taken by surprise. When her mother Michaela suggests the two spend a week together on the island of Rügen, Karo suspects another failed romance as the reason. What begins as a spontaneous trip turns into a test for both women. While Michaela is looking for distraction, Karo wants some peace and quiet.
At the hotel, they meet recently divorced Jochen and his teenage daughter Marie. Michaela sees Jochen as a holiday fling, but for Karo it's the father-daughter relationship she never had. She realizes that the absent father has left a bigger and more painful hole than she thought. Old wounds are reopened, and both women try to break out of their established roles to finally arrive at their own lives.
