Vogelperspektiven

The documentary accompanies Dr. Norbert Schäffer, ornithologist and chairman of the Landesbund für Vogelschutz in Bayern (Bavarian Society for the Protection of Birds), who provides an insight into the extraordinary world of birds. However, a big part of his work consists of environmental policy and commitment to nature conservation, because the situation for birds in Germany is alarming, with their population threatened not least by the effects of climate change. Although the animals are "felt" to be omnipresent, their numbers have almost halved in the last 60 years alone. In addition to the expert Dr. Schäffer, the film also shows bird lovers from all over the world who talk about their passion.
