Going Back

Shortly after her husband′s death, Marianne, who has been living in Paris, goes on a business trip to Berlin, the city where she was born and grew up and which she had left for good just before the fall of the Wall. Whilst there, she meets up again with her childhood sweetheart Hans.

Even back then, pro-found differences in their political beliefs had left their mark on their relationship. Hesitantly and shyly, they resume their love-affair. But, neither the external obstacles of that time nor their differences will now stop them from living their lives together. And yet they see that the present differences probably go much deeper than those past ones.
