Mädchen mit schwachem Gedächtnis

Young dancer Anni Prechtl travels from the countryside to Munich, where she wants to start a career in show business. She dreams of following in the footsteps of her old friend Poldi, but eventually Poldi turns out to be just a clerk in a hotel. Things get even worse when Anni′s savings are stolen. Poldi′s friend, the photographer Albert, comes up with an idea: Anni should play an amnesiac in order to evoke people′s pity. But an American couple searching for their lost daughter thinks Anni might be their child, and a lot of confusion ensues.
