Eine Million Minuten

The couple Vera and Wolf lead an apparently happy life in Berlin with their two children, five-year-old Nina and one-year-old Simon. While Vera has a part-time job and then takes care of the children and the household, Wolf works as a scientific advisor to the UN on climate protection. But the attempt to do justice to both, their jobs and their family, wears them down more and more. The diagnosis that daughter Nina suffers from a disorder of fine motor skills and coordination finally shakes the family's life model. When Nina shortly afterwards expresses the childlike wish to spend "a million minutes" with her parents, this provides the decisive impetus: for a million minutes, 694 days, the family searches for an alternative life model in different parts of the world.
