The Strait Guys - Der Traum vom Tunnel
The documentary accompanies 76-year-old engineer George and his eloquent assistant Scott on their mission to lobby for Alaska and Russia to be connected via an intercontinental railroad that would also tunnel under the Behring Sea for 100 kilometers. George, who has been planning the exact route for many years and is doing a lot of lobbying on all sides, wants his ambitious project to improve and relieve the strain on global supply chains and contribute to international understanding. Traveling along the planned route, they explain their plans in the film and can be seen meeting decision-makers.
