Treasure - Familie ist ein fremdes Land
Adaptation of the autobiographical novel "Too Many Men" by Lily Brett. The story takes place in 1991 and is about Ruth Rowax, a photojournalist living in New York. Ruth is successful, a little neurotic and single - a typical New Yorker. Her parents are from Poland, survived Auschwitz as children and once came to New York via Australia. Now Ruth is traveling to Poland with her widowed father, Edek, to research her family's history. The week-long search for clues will take them to Warsaw, Lodz and Auschwitz - a week full of emotional moments, absurdly funny situations, but also grotesque and frightening observations. Most of all, the trip could strengthen the fragile relationship between Ruth and Edek.
