Olfas Töchter
Four Daugthers
The film portrays Olfa, a Tunisian mother of four daughters, two of whom joined the terrorist group Islamic State (IS), seemingly without warning. Left alone with her two youngest daughters, Olfa is desperate, helpless, and wracked with guilt. Combining documentary elements with re-enactments, the film sheds light on the family conflict and tries to understand the reasons behind the decision. Professional actresses portray the two absent daughters and, in some scenes, Olfa herself.
