Eighth film about the Bavarian village cop Franz Eberhofer, based on the novels by Rita Falk. This time, the officer's tenth service anniversary celebration is overshadowed by all kinds of adversity. On the one hand, all of Niederkaltenkirchen is in a lottery fever, then a couple of bill collectors show up who apparently are after the mysterious Lotto-Otto. As if that weren't enough, Rudi's argumentative new girlfriend Theresa causes discord among the otherwise well-coordinated investigator duo, while Susi forces her Franz into couples therapy. The phlegmatic policeman could still cope with all this, but when the bill collectors shoot up his grandma's freshly baked Guglhupf cakes, the fun stops...
