Kiss Me Kosher
Kiss Me Before It Blows Up
During her stay in Israel, German biologist Maria falls in love with bar owner Shira. The latter has a close relationship with her grandmother Berta, who is not particularly enthusiastic when Shira tells of her new love affair. The fact that her granddaughter is dating a German of all people is in fact a red rag for Berta. But this doesn't impress Shira much, and after a short stay at home in Germany and without further ado, Maria moves in with Shira. It doesn't take long either until - actually due to a misunderstanding - the marriage proposal follows. In order to help with the wedding preparations, Maria's parents arrive from Germany and get to know Shira's family. While all parents support the wedding, Grandma Berta vehemently tries to prevent the marriage, and that is not the only reason why shortly after Maria's parents' arrival a turbulent family feud ensues. And then there is also the Palestinian Ibrahim, Berta's lover, who wants to keep this not quite conventional love secret at all costs...
