"Intertango" sees Tango as an intercultural phenomenon and a chance to overcome cultural barriers. The film gives intimate insight to the “emotional adventure trip” which the protagonists experience with Tango. Naoko who conquered in her modest Japanese way a mainly male-dominated position in Buenos Aires to become a Tango DJ. Iftikhar from Pakistan who got “infected” by Tango and loves this dance so much that he started to teach Tango in Karachi. Mila from Russia whose passion for Tango interferes with her family plans. And Rodrigo from Argentina who is constantly experimenting with Tango.
