The Big Other

Of all people, the television presenter Gregory, a convinced atheist, is sent to Rome to report on the upcoming election of the new pope. In the eternal city he meets Maria, with whom he falls head over heels in love. However, she is already promised to another, namely God: Mary is about to enter a convent as a nun. While Gregory is not deterred by this, suddenly mysterious events accumulate that make it impossible for the two to meet again. Tirelessly Gregory tries to get closer to his beloved. Until he begins to realize that he has made himself the rival of a "groom", against whose omnipotence he cannot win.
