Glebs Film
Gleb′s Film
Gleb runs a small hairdressers’ in Hamburg’s Altona district. It is the only
shop in the street, and for many of his older customers a visit with Gleb is
the high point of their day. Gleb is very concerned with their loneliness, and
at the same time it stimulates his imagination. While giving the ladies a permanent
or dying their eyelashes, he tells his idea for a film: it is about an
unhappy man, a lonely woman and a hairdresser, who of course has a very
special role to play. Thanks to the active participation of Gleb’s listeners the
story takes surprising twists and turns and provides the framework for a cinematic
portrait of a passionate storyteller.
