The Demon Disease

A documentary about the creation of a psychiatric center in Burkina Faso and its founder, Pastor Tankpari Guitanga. Through his aid organization Yenfaabima, he works under difficult conditions to provide treatment and proper care for the mentally ill, who are often considered possessed by demons by the local population and are therefore ostracized. Believed to be contagious, many of these people are forced to live on the outskirts of villages, where they are often chained and beaten. Guitanga and his team are dedicated to raising awareness and steadily improving their situation.
