Lord of the Toys

Documentary film that accompanies the 20-year-old YouTuber and influencer Max "Adlersson" Herzberg and his friends for a summer. The film shows Herzberg, who likes to glorify violence and has clear right-wing tendencies, in private and professionally shooting his videos while he is busy self-staging, being rude and making fun of those who are different. Without voice over, the film portrays the generation of digital natives and thematizes today's attention economy in the Western world as well as the structures of the world in which Max and his clique live in general. At the same time, it takes a look at the specifics of the German East.
