Pink Elephants
Documentary on the acting classes of well-known US-American acting and success coach Bernard Hiller. His approach is geared to 'method acting' and aims to make participants confront their deepest fears while at the same time strengthen their greatest hopes. Hiller wants to bring his students to an extensive mental self-disclosure so that they can afterwards act completely "free". In doing so, he pushes many of them to physical and emotional limits. At the same time, he demands unconditional trust in himself and his techniques. The film follows one of the master classes of Hiller whose method is by no means without criticism: While some see in his courses an important means of emotional clearance, others consider them a manipulative shock therapy.
