Gebürtig

"Gebürtig" is the story of three men with extremely different backgrounds, who all have to come to terms with the end of the Nazi reign. While Jewish emigrant Hermann Gibirtig is persuaded to testify against a former concentration camp warden, journalist Sachs is confronted with the fact that his father was a top-ranking SS physician. At the same time, Jewish entertainer Danny views the Nazi past of his home country with black humour: For him, Vienna, the former "capital of Anti-Semitism", has now become the "capital of oblivion".
