#Female Pleasure
Documentary feature about five women with five different cultural and religious backgrounds, who are fighting for sexual freedom for women and against the demonization of and contempt for female sexuality. The film portrays Deborah Feldman, a Jewish woman from New York, who was forced into an arranged marriage and has described the brutal and repressive traditions of Hasidic Judaism in her best-selling memoir "Unorthodox"; Vithika Yadav, a Hinduistic Indian, who founded the first Indian sex education platform "Love Matters"; Leyla Hussein, a Muslima from Somalia, who is fighting against child marriage and female genital mutilation; Doris Wagner, a German catholic, who was sexually abused as a convent pupil and in her books writes about double moral standards of and sexual assaults in the catholic church; as well as the Japanese Manga and action artist Rokudenashiko, who was arrested after creating a 3D model of her own vagina. Even though all five women are facing defamation, persecution and death threats because of their activism, they are not backing down.
