Family Idiots

Artist Heli is 40 years old and wants to start over. In the last few years she has been busy taking care of her 26-year-old sister Ginnie, who is mentally challenged even though this is not obvious at first glance. Their three brothers, Bruno (30), Tommie (32) and Frederik (42), were far too busy with themselves over the years to support Heli. When Heli needs more time for herself and her own needs, she decides to move Ginnie into a home. The brothers agree, but first want to visit Ginnie again. When the five siblings meet in an idyllic little cottage on the outskirts of Berlin, the family reunion is far less harmonious than expected. Ginnie is particularly capricious, which keeps everyone on their toes. In the increasingly chaotic and stressful mess, the estranged siblings come closer to each other in a surprising way.
