Chance 2000 - Abschied von Deutschland
Documentary about Christoph Schlingensief's legendary campaign in 1998: As a reaction to the public frustration with politics, the iconoclastic stage director and filmmaker founded the party "Chance 2000" – and called it "the biggest stage play of the Federal Republic of Germany". The party's candidates were people from the fringes of society, for instance disabled and unemployed individuals. Within nine months, the party launched six huge events, which combined art happening, political action and anarchic theatre performances, including the construction of a circus tent in the Berlin Prater. Numerous celebrities showed their support, including Martin Wuttke, Dietrich Kuhlbrodt, Harald Schmidt and Alfred Biolek.
