Krauses Glück

Following his retirement from the force, police officer Horst Krause joins his sister Elsa in the business of running the family inn in Schönhorst. Nevertheless, Krause is increasingly bored by the everyday routine. Things change when the Chanati family from Syria arrives in the village and eventually finds shelter in the inn. The culture clash and language barrier pose many challenges, all of which Krause wholeheartedly embraces. Yet parts of the village community are critical of his dedication to help the migrants. Even more problems arise, when Krause's sister Meta, whose husband is in trouble, arrives from Cologne.
