Documentary about a small convenience store at the railway station in the small town of Boizenburg in Western Mecklenburg. The former water filling station is more than a mere store: As a sort of improvised bar, it is the local meeting point for senior citizens, unemployed, workers, cab drivers and travelers. Between 5am and 10 pm, people eat, drink, talk or watch football games. Yet when in 2015 a camp for refugees is set up nearby, the idyllic rural scenery begins to change. In addition to tourists and regulars, refugees start to frequent the store as well. With the changed situation, the conversations shift as well. Although people are not interested in politics, their talks get more political. They start to reflect upon their own situation and openly talk about their individual worries, hopes and fears.
