Fremde Nähe

The German-Filipina Cassandra (16) suffers from the daily communication problems with her Filipino mother who, after twenty years in Berlin, still barely speaks a word of German and rejects the German culture. When Chris, Cassie’s first crush, comes to visit, she questions her mother for the first time. Her relationships to Chris and to her mother are incompatible. Cassie has to decide: does she forgo her first love in order to maintain the sense of security with her mother?
