Der entsorgte Vater
In his documentary film, Douglas Wolfsperger deals with the problem that some women try to prohibit their their former partners to have any contact with their joint children after their relationship has ended. The film is based on Wolfberger’s own personal case: for years, his former life partner has done everything to keep him away from his daughter – with success and with the support of a court that told Wolfsperger to see off his daughter until she attains full age. In his film, Wolfsperger describes his attempts to draw attention to this "violation of the human right to family life" in Germany that has been repeatedly criticized by the European Court of Justice. During the film, he meets with a couple of other fathers who suffer a similar fate – and still do not want to abandon their fight.
