17-year-old Phil returns home from summer camp only to find out that his eccentric mother and his twin sister Dianne obviously had a big fallout and are currently not on speaking terms. Yet Phil does not worry much about it, for there have always been loud and lively arguments in the family home. Instead, he spends the rest of the summer vacation with Kat, his best female friend. With the beginning of the school year, the new classmate Nicholas arrives. The mysterious boy fascinates Phil, and eventually, they begin a passionate affair.
