Tabu
Director F. W. Murnau′s last film: On a Southern Pacific island, pearl diver Matahi falls in love with the beautiful Reri. The two experience a romantic time together, until Reri is chosen by the village elders as the wife of the tribe′s gods. Now, she is taboo for other men. To save their love, Matahi and Reri flee the island. In a French colony, they try to build a new existence. But the wrath of the gods seems to follow them.
