I Want to See The Manager
Documentary on the effects of globalization. For a long time, the world divided itself between those with property and those who had nothing. Or to put it differently: between the industrialized nations and the so-called developing countries. Yet in recent years, as the episodically structured film argues, the order has been shifting. Viewers are taken to seven different locations that are exemplary for this change, including an occupied high-rise in Caracas, a salt desert in Bolivia, a nursing home in Thailand and a cryonics laboratory in Detroit. Over time, it becomes evident that these seemingly incomparable microcosms are indeed intertwining and are influencing one another, and the film depicts what effects these shifts of power have on each and everyone of us.
