Das Haus am Ende der Straße
During a routine questioning of Commissioner Steier disaster strikes. A ricochet fatally injures a little girl. In court, however, the perpetrator is acquitted, because the lawyer questions the statement of Steier, who had been boozing the night before. Steier is beside himself and quits his job, wants to "finally be a hero in his own movie again". He follows Nico, who fired the fatal shots, and finds out that he is planning a break-in together with his brother and his junkie girlfriend. And it ends yet in another disaster: the house owner is killed. A neighbour, Rolf Poller, has observed everything and gets in the crosshairs of the burglar trio. While trying to save Poller, Steier is knocked down by the same in his house and is captured together with the gang. Poller pursues a perfidious plan. He, too, wants to be the hero in his own film at last. But his version follows a completely different script.
